samsung electronics (not the samsung group just electronics) is 2x or 3x times bigger in revenue than apple.

samsung is #2 patents holdings in USA. apple barely broke into top 50 recently.

$$ and patents holdings tell me it won't be so easy for apple.

However, look at the profits and Apple makes around the same or more than the entire Samsung conglomerate with 1/5 the workforce.

I just did an update to iTunes and now when I try and launch the application I am getting a message: The folder "iTunes" can not be found or created and required. The default location for the folder is inside the "Music" folder. I can select "choose library" but it will not allow me to select iTunes.

Any ideas what I can do?

Has anyone picked up the DS version of Puzzle Quest? If so, what do you think?

I'll probably end up picking it up. Tycho (from Penny Arcade) likes it, and my tastes often line up with his. If I get it anytime soon (i.e., before the responses flood in or you get it), I'll let you know. :)

Using qlmanage -p or vim, you can see the contents, but they look compiled.

Apparently my family plan is too small to qualify. My wife and I combined are $160/month, but we're on the lowest voice plan for families. Gotta step up one more level before we qualify but we don't use our minutes as is.

Pretty lame promo.

The lowest voice plan currently offered is the 700 Minute plan. Which should qualify.

I have one of the newer mac mini's (server) with the HDMI out port on it. I am using the machine as a home theatre pc.

Friday night I rented a HD movie from Itunes and attempted to play it on my 50 inch plasma. I received the message that my display is not HDCP compliant and that I could not play the vidoe.

I looked up the specs on my Samsung PN50A650 and found the following statement about HDCP that states the display is HDCP compatible. The only other issue that may come into play, was that I had my EyeTV HD recorded plugged in at the time, I disconnected the device, but the video still did not play.

Does anyone know why I can not display the HDCP media? Is there a test file I can use for troubleshooting since the rental has expired? (Apple refunded my money by the way)

What is HDMI?
� HDMI, or high-definition multimedia interface, is an interface that enables the
transmission of digital audio and video signals using a single cable.
� The difference between HDMI and DVI is that the HDMI device is smaller in size and
has the HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Copy Protection) coding feature installed.
➢ Each DVD Player or Cable Box / Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box) has a different
back panel configuration.
➢ The TV may not output sound and pictures may be displayed with abnormal color
when DVD Player or Cable Box / Satellite receivers supporting HDMI versions
older than 1.3 are connected. When connecting an older HDMI cable and there
is no sound, connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI IN 2 jack and the audio cables
to the DVI IN (HDMI2) [R-AUDIO-L] jacks on the back of the TV. If this happens,
contact the company that provided the DVD Player or Cable Box / Satellite receiver
to confirm the HDMI version, then request an upgrade.
➢ HDMI cables that are not 1.3 may cause annoying flicker or no screen display.

zen.state this appears to be the correct ram for my system as its low spec dual 867 which if my research is good means it need PC2100 266mhz ram. And 4x 512mb is my max of 2Gb. This one is the cheapest I can find new. is that right?

My wife has bought a MacBook Pro and I have put Outlook 2011 on it. Can I sync my iPad's contacts and calendar without syncing with iCal and Address Book as these will have my wife's contacts and calendar which we don't want to mix. iTunes only allows syncing with Address Book and iCal.

I simply want to keep my voice plan the same and choose the new M2M. The M2M feature shows up under our family unlimited messaging thus I was assuming and hoping the voice plan rollover mins would remain unchanged.

I didn't lose any of my roll-over minutes. I have ~1200 and am on the 450 individual plan.

Doubtful since their warranty does not transfer to a second hand buyer. If I were to buy an iPod and then sell it on ebay a few weeks later the new owner would not be covered.

Apple dont check receipts, they check serial numbers. So long as its within the standard warranty period, or there is a flag to say that its covered by extended Apple Care, its covered. They dont care who you got it from.

Its also law. They are legally not allowed to refuse a manufacturers warranty based on which shop you bought it from (At least in the UK - it would be mind numbingly idiotic of any government to allow them to refuse it).

As it seems that Tweetie will never re-implement the old RT style, I've been playing with a few other apps. I don't mind paying for apps that give me what I'm looking for. I cross my fingers for an update but I doubt I will ever pay for another app from Loren. Unfortunate since it was my favorite app until the last update. I paid for it twice and recommended it to so many people. The RT style is a big deal to me. Sorry. His unwillingness to listen to users that paid for his app really bothers me.

Twittelator is feature packed but maybe too much so? There's a lot of control over the look but it just always feels cluttered to me.

Simplytweet is also a pretty good app but a bit outdated as they haven't updated in a while with the new features. But it's a nice simple app with Push. The dev is working on a new app and I'm really looking forward to it. I got this for free when it was first released and I'd be willing to pay for the new app if it looks good.

Twitbird Pro is another one I got for free when it was first released and I've started using it again since the last update. It rocks my socks! I've not paid for the push feature but I really don't need it since I get an SMS when I get DM's and check it often enough. lol. I love the themes and how you can change the background image. It has all the features I want and none of that extra crap no one uses. Who the hell cares about Favstar????

One thing I *really* want to see more of is being able to post to Flickr. That is probably one of the things I miss most about Tweetie (even though it's not native).

Hope they fix the slide to unlock bug on home screen.

It gets stuck a lot ever since 4.3.1

Also the pause button when playing podcasts or certain music not as responsive as it used to be.
