It was the RAM!!! Huge thanks for the suggestions 666sheep, zen.state and chrismacguy.
Its now a dual 867 with 256mb of ram :(
2gb should arrive soon though!!!!
Good stuff. Did you set the firmware on both cards to 5.1.3? Thats what the FirmTek support agent suggested as I quoted above. Having the wrong firmware can seem fine at first but you can get data corruption that way.
It's very imprtant you put the proper 5.1.3 on each card also as I gave to the separate links above. You don't seem to be mentioning this so I just want to be sure you understand how important it is.

It definitely does ... i spend way too much time here. Better spent here than in other unproductive forums. Macs (here) and audio (osxaudio) are the only things that get me to post. :D

Here's my current set-up. I'm looking for a good xmas Mail icon and maybe one for Safari and FF. I know what I'd like, but I'm not a Photoshop guy at all. Also, the Mail icon looks like it's sitting on the dock in an odd manner. Kind of bugging me, but I can't find a different, Christmas-y one.

Because Apple's solution cuts them out from general demographics information as well (for those that opt out).
And I have not seen on option in iOS to prevent Apple from using my data for general demographics they use to sell their iAds.

One really talented engineer can't support two elderly people who demand a high quality of life, and do you realize what massive immigration to Europe is going to do? It will break their culture.
If you're talking about the advance of medicine, don't sweat it. It works across all ages. Today's entry level workers will retire when they are 80+ and be able to work like they were 20 years younger. You can count on that from the "legislative" arena as well.
Now ironically, taking your words in a litteral sense....one of the big efforts of Japanese engineers has been to develop robots that will assist the elderly since they have so many and are expecting more. And these robots are also expected to be "freindly" for emotional support and stuff too...as is one of the major focuses on MIT's Artificial Intelligence lab. The guy from iRobot corp heads those efforts and is in the Discovery Channels all the time. At this point they are able to fool kids (and many lay adults) into thinking that the crude machine is "alive".

I just got iMsafe. It backs up to an iPod, Firewire drive etc and it has been excellent. It just seems really good. Looks nice, dead simple, works well. And that's it.

I have made a flyer in Pages and one of the text box little "corner squares" will not disappear. Actually, its the bottom center square that has the little plus sign in it. Can anyone tell me how to remove it or make it disappear?

iOS World Frustration Index suddenly dropped to bottom. Numbers finally start to matter again. Once they add Macs, Mac Pros, Mac Minis, refurb resales etc. to the list (when they run iOS) - it will be time to declare victory :D

i'm not to keen on this whole cloud computing concept that is floating around at the moment. Anyone else have doubts?

Most people don't call it a 'cloud,' but an amazing number of people pretty much just use Facebook as their only photo-storage facility. Forget the fact that many of them become down-rezzed when doing so...and that's before you get into conversations about how safe the data is and how you can access it. Those kind of thoughts don't even enter most people's minds.
I've heard from so many people who have lost entire computer drives and kind of laugh it off 'cause their photos are on Facebook and their music is on their iPod.
You and I may see the downsides to cloud computing compared to what we do now, but for these people a better cloud-computing-workflow from a company like Apple would actually be a huge step UP.
